University of Cincinnati Health selects Dr. Beverly Bokovitz as 1st chief nursing executive

University of Cincinnati Health appointed Beverly Bokovitz, DNP, RN, its first chief nursing executive.

Dr. Bokovitz, who assumed her new role last month, is also vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer for University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She will serve in a dual role.

She became CNO of University of Cincinnati Medical Center in April 2018, prior to which she was CNO of St. Anthony’s Health Care in St. Louis. She also has worked for Akron (Ohio) General Health System and University Hospitals in Cleveland.

In her new role, Dr. Bokovitz oversees 2,400 full-time employees and several care areas, including emergency services, seven inpatient critical care units and 17 inpatient units.
