UnityPoint creates rural health leadership role

West Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health selected Jenn Crimmins for the newly created role of executive director of rural health partnerships.

Ms. Crimmins most recently served as vice president of clinic operations in the Fort Dodge Market, according to a Sept. 10 health system news release shared with Becker’s.

In the new role, she will develop, lead and sustain strategic partnerships focused on rural healthcare across Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. The system has advanced work in rural healthcare through local partnerships, clinical gains and community engagement, including efforts to reduce barriers to care and support long-term improvements.

UnityPoint Health owns or operates more than 400 physician clinics, 18 regional and 17 community network hospitals and employs more than 31,000 team members.
