UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro, N.C., recently appointed two clinical executives to its C-suite.
The hospital named Joel Rose, MD, as its chief medical officer, and Katie Hile, DNP, RN, as chief nursing officer, according to news releases shared with Becker’s Jan. 21.
Dr. Rose joins the hospital from UNC Health Lenoir in Kinston, N.C., where he began practicing in 2015. He has held several leadership roles at the hospital, including medical director of the bariatric program, president of the medical staff and a member of its board of directors. He also previously served as executive medical director for the UNC Health Medical Group at UNC Health Wayne and UNC Health Lenoir.
Dr. Hile joined UNC Health Wayne in December from Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, Va., where she most recently served as a senior nursing director. She also previously served as clinical director of the hospital’s medical oncology unit and outpatient infusion clinic.
