UMass Memorial Medical Center hires CNO: 4 points

UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass., tapped Justin Precourt to serve as chief nursing officer, according to a Worcester Business Journal report.

Four points:

1. Mr. Precourt formerly served as associate CNO and interim CNO of Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

2. He has also held a number of nursing and nursing leadership roles at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

3. He was nursing director of cardiac surgery and renal transplantation at Brigham's Shapiro Cardiovascular Center in Boston.

4. Mr. Precourt is the permanent successor to Lisa Colombo, who left to become executive vice chancellor for commonwealth medicine, part of the UMass Medical School in Worcester.
