Rob Anderson, CEO of Lakewood Ranch (Fla.) Medical Center, has shared plans to resign March 26.

COO Philip Reber has been appointed interim CEO and will work with Mr. Anderson to ensure a smooth transition, a hospital spokesperson said in a March 13 statement shared with Becker’s.

“We are grateful for Rob’s leadership, and we appreciate his commitment to improving the health status of the people of Lakewood Ranch and the surrounding areas,” the spokesperson said. “We wish him much success in his future endeavors.”

Mr. Anderson was appointed CEO in April, replacing Mr. Reber, who had also served as interim CEO before Mr. Anderson joined.

Before joining Lakewood Ranch Medical Center — which is part of King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services —  Mr. Anderson was CEO of Memorial Campus and Providence Children’s Hospital, both in El Paso, Texas.
