UCSF Health names new CFO: 5 things to know

San Francisco-based UCSF Health named Raju Iyer senior vice president and CFO, effective Nov. 1.

Five things to know:

1. Mr. Iyer has more than 18 years of healthcare finance experience.

2. Before joining UCSF Health, Mr. Iyer was regional CFO of Providence St. Joseph Health in Northern California.

3. He also held financial leadership roles at Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, Methodist Hospital and Methodist Children’s Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

4. At UCSF Health, he will oversee financial strategy and services of the health system, which includes UCSF Helen Diller Medical Center at Parnassus Heights, UCSF Medical Center at Mount Zion, UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay, and the two UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals.

5. Mr. Iyer will succeed UCSF Health CFO Barrie Strickland.
