1. Mr. Gannotta became interim CEO of the health system in February, following the resignation of Howard Federoff, MD, PhD.
2. Mr. Gannotta previously served as COO of UCI Health.
3. His prior experience also includes serving as senior vice president of hospitals at New York City-based NYC Health + Hospitals and president of Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
4. Previously, the roles of vice chancellor for health affairs at U of C Irvine and CEO of the UCI Health were combined. They became two separate positions after Dr. Federoff resigned.
The health system is still searching for a new vice chancellor for health affairs.
