UC Medical Center COO to leave post: 4 things to know

Nancy Barone, EdD, MSN, vice president and COO of the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, will resign Feb. 29, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report.

Here are four things to know about Dr. Barone.

1. She has served in her current position for more than five years.

2. Prior to serving as COO, she was vice president and executive operations director for UC Medical Center.

3. Her pending departure comes as UC Medical Center is undergoing a leadership restructuring. Lee Ann Liska, UC Medical Center president and CEO, left last year, and the hospital is now led by interim chief administrative officer Jen Jackson, DNP, RN.

4. Dr. Barone intends to remain in the Cincinnati area and pursue other job opportunities, according to the report.
