Hartford, Conn.-based Trinity Health Of New England appointed Robert Roose, MD, as president of acute care.
Dr. Roose will lead Saint Francis Hospital and Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, both in Hartford, as well as Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs and Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, according to an Aug. 6 health system news release shared with Becker’s.
He also will continue supporting Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., during its planned transition to Springfield-based Baystate Health, pending regulatory approval.
Dr. Roose joined Trinity Health Of New England in 2013 and previously served as president of Mercy Medical Center, Johnson Memorial Hospital and Saint Mary’s Hospital. Before that, he held leadership roles including chief medical officer and vice president of behavioral health at Mercy Medical Center.
Trinity Health Of New England was formed in 2015 and is a member of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, which serves communities in 22 states.
