Trinity Health of New England appoints Dr. Syed Hussain CMO: 4 points

Hartford, Conn.-based Trinity Health of New England selected Syed A. Hussain, MD, to serve as senior vice president and CMO, effective Aug. 1.

Here are four points:

1. Dr. Hussain has previously served as CMO at the hospital and regional level.

2. Board-certified in internal medicine, he was a fellow in the GME Physician Leadership program at Detroit Medical Center.

3. In his new role, Dr. Hussain will oversee clinical care delivery as well as patient experience and safety. He will also be responsible for establishing a regional medical executive committee.

4. Trinity Health of New England includes four acute care hospitals and includes 837 employed providers.
