TriHealth names Dr. Michael Bain its inaugural chief medical informatics officer: 3 things to know

Cincinnati-based TriHealth appointed Michael A. Bain, MD, its first chief medical informatics officer, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Bain, an emergency medicine physician, is the CEO of Qualified Emergency Specialists, a physician group in the greater Cincinnati area.

2. He has served as medical director of Cincinnati-based Bethesda North Hospital, a part of TriHealth.

3. In his new role, Dr. Bain will oversee the planning, development and implementation of clinical information systems across the health system, which includes six hospitals.
