ThedaCare names Laura Reed COO: 4 key notes

Appleton, Wis.-based ThedaCare appointed its chief nursing executive Laura Reed as COO.

Here are four key notes:

1. Ms. Reed will continue her current role as chief nursing executive in addition to her new role.

2. She will continue to report to Dean Gruner, MD, the president and CEO of ThedaCare.

3. The new appointment comes at a time when the system is considering merging ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton and ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah (Wis.) into one regional healthcare destination.

4. ThedaCare includes seven hospitals and employs more than 7,000 healthcare professionals.
