Methodist Hospital Atascosa in Jourdanton, Texas, has named Harpreet Sharma, MSN, its chief nursing officer and chief operating officer.
In her dual role, Ms. Sharma will focus on advancing operational efficiencies, clinical quality and patient-centered care, according to a June 16 news release.
She has more than 25 years of healthcare experience, having held progressive nursing leadership roles within Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare. Most recently, she served as assistant chief nursing officer at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake in Webster, Texas, and HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland in Texas City, Texas, where she also served as interim CNO title.
In those roles, she oversaw emergency services, critical care, cardiovascular care, women’s services and surgical operations across the two hospital campuses.
