Texas hospital names CEO

Robert Nelson, BSN, RN, was named CEO of Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, Texas.

Mr. Nelson will begin his new role on Sept. 16, according to a hospital news release. Greg Kiser has been serving as  interim CEO.

Mr. Nelson brings nearly 30 years of healthcare leadership, most recently as interim CEO and chief nursing officer at Alta Vista Regional Hospital in Las Vegas, N.M., according to the release.

Big Bend Regional is a 25-bed facility.
