Mr. Baptiste currently serves as CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in New York City. His previous roles include serving as COO at Durham (N.C.) Regional Hospital and executive vice president and COO of St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Del.
Mr. Baptiste is taking over the role from L. Reuven Pasternak, MD, who served as the hospital’s CEO as well as vice president for health systems. Stony Brook is splitting up the roles, and Dr. Pasternak will remain VP for health systems.
Mr. Baptiste holds a master’s degree in public administration from CW Post College in Brookville, N.Y., as well as a master of science degree in health financial management from New York University.
