Stony Brook Southampton Hospital selects permanent CNO: 4 things to know

Stony Brook Southampton (N.Y.) Hospital appointed Althea Mills, RN, permanent vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer.

Here are four things to know:

1. Ms. Mills became interim CNO of the hospital in April.

2. She previously served as director of nursing education and later, associate director of nursing.

3. She has worked at Southampton Hospital since 2014, when she joined as a per diem nursing administrative supervisor.

4. Ms. Mills is the permanent successor to former CNO Patricia Darcey, who retired.
