Steward Health Care System names Dr. Joseph Weinstein CMO: 3 points

Boston-based Steward Health Care System selected Joseph Weinstein, MD, to serve as CMO, according to an Eagle Tribune report.

Here are three points:

1. A cardiologist by training, Dr. Weinstein most recently served as vice president of medical affairs at Steward’s Carney Hospital in Dorchester, Mass.

2. He also previously served as vice president of medical affairs at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Mass., another Steward facility.

3. He replaces Justine Carr, MD, Steward’s first system-wide CMO who has retired.
