1. Ms. Briggs currently serves as COO of the hospital.
2. Previously, she was executive vice president and COO at St. Vincent’s Health System in Birmingham, Ala., also a part of the Ascension family.
3. Before coming to Ascension, she headed a healthcare consulting firm.
4. She holds an MBA degree from the Brock School of Business, Samford University in Birmingham.
5. Ms. Briggs will replace Vincent C. Caponi, who is retiring.
