St. Mary’s Health Care System taps permanent chief nursing officer: 3 points

Athens, Ga.-based St. Mary’s Health Care System named Titus Gambrell, DNP, RN, permanent vice president and chief nursing officer, according to an Athens Banner-Herald report.

Here are three points:

1. Mr. Gambrell served in the roles on an interim basis for the past few months, prior to which he was regional director of case management, bed control/transfer center and clinical education at St. Mary’s.

2. He is equipped with nearly four decades of nursing experience.

3. In his new role, he will oversee nursing functions at all three hospitals in the St. Mary’s system.
