St. Luke’s Hospital in Columbus, N.C., appointed David Pope interim CEO, according to a Tryon Daily Bulletin report.

1. Mr. Pope previously worked at Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge in Morganton, N.C., where he served in several leadership roles, including as assistant vice president of administration and associate counsel.

2. He earned a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Public Health as well as a juris doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, N.C.

3. He replaces Jim Bross, who resigned to pursue new opportunities.
