St. Luke’s Hospital appoints chief nursing officer: 3 points

St. Luke’s Hospital in Columbus, N.C., selected Katherine Hefner, MSN, to serve as chief nursing officer, according to a Tryon Daily Bulletin report.

1. Ms. Hefner most recently served as CNO at Mission Hospital-McDowell in Marion, N.C.

2. She has also served as nursing unit manager and director of medical cardiac services within Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Health System.

3. Ms. Hefner holds a master’s degree in nursing with a focus on nursing administration from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, N.C.
