SSM Health taps Dr. Mark Thompson as medical groups president in Wisconsin

St. Louis-based SSM Health appointed Mark Thompson, MD, president of medical groups for its Wisconsin region, effective immediately.

Dr. Thompson most recently served as regional CMO in Wisconsin for SSM Health. He has also worked at Monroe (Wis.) Clinic and served as a residency program director at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison. He was a faculty family medicine physician in the U.S. Air Force.

In his new role, Dr. Thompson will oversee physician and advance practice services within the clinics and ambulatory settings throughout the Wisconsin region.
