Sovah Health-Martinsville (Va.) has appointed Dale F. Alward CEO, according to ABC affiliate WSET-TV.

Three things to know:

1. Mr. Alward most recently served as CEO of Twin County Regional Healthcare in Galax, Va.

2. He served in the U.S. Air Force Medical Service for 20 years.

3. He holds a master of health administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
