Southeast Missouri Hospital Names New CEO

Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo., has named Debra Linnes as its new president and CEO, according to a Southeast Missouri Hospital news release.

Ms. Linnes succeeds James Wente as CEO and president. She previously served as president and CEO of St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. Ms. Linnes also served as senior vice president for a regional health system in Colorado for the Sisters of Charity Leavenworth (Kan.), as well as in a leadership role for a member of the Catholic Healthcare West health system in California, according to the release.

As one of her first duties as CEO, Ms. Linnes appointed James Limbaugh as executive vice president of planning and business development. Mr. Limbaugh most recently served as COO of Sikeston, Mo.-based Montgomery Bank and served as board chair of Southeast Missouri’s board of trustees.

Both Ms. Linnees and Mr. Limbaugh will start in their new roles on Sept. 28. Mr. Wente will serve as CEO Emeritus until July 31, 2010, to ensure a smooth transition.
