Texas hospital taps chief medical officer

Methodist Hospital | Northeast in Live Oak, Texas, has appointed Geetha Gangu, MD, as its new chief medical officer.

Dr. Gangu has more than two decades of experience as an academic hospitalist and five years in hospital leadership.

She most recently served as chief of the hospitalist division at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield, Ore., where she led the state’s largest hospitalist group.
