Ms. Benson has been with SAMC for 35 years and held many positions, including CNO, COO and hospital administrator, according to the report. She was most recently the director of quality management and regulation compliancy at the hospital.
Ms. Benson is replacing Brian Bickel. “We made a change, our CEO is now Annie Benson rather than Mr. Bickel,” James Riley, SAMC board of directors’ president, said in the report. Mr. Bickel had been CEO for the last three years.
