Here are four points:
1. Previously, Mr. Stark served as CEO of Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala.
2. He also has prior experience serving as president and CEO of Columbus (Ga.) Regional Health System (now Piedmont Columbus Regional) and president and CEO of Firelands Regional Health System in Sandusky, Ohio.
3. He earned his master’s degree in healthcare administration from Durham, N.C.-based Duke University.
4. In his new role, Mr. Stark will help oversee hospitals in South Texas Health System’s McAllen, Edinburg, Laredo and Eagle Pass markets.
