South Georgia Medical Center appoints new CDO

South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta has appointed Bill Forbes as chief development officer.

Mr. Forbes has held various positions at SGMC over the last 20 years, including chief planning officer. He previously served as CEO of Homerville, Ga.-based Clinch Memorial Hospital and was also the city manager and mayor of Homerville.

As CDO, Mr. Forbes will be responsible for crafting business development strategies and enforcement of state and federal compliance regulations.
