Snoqualmie Valley Hospital appoints new CEO: 4 things to know

Snoqualmie (Wash.) Valley Hospital has appointed its COO, Tom Parker, as CEO, according to a Valley Record report.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Parker.

1. He had been interim CEO since March.

2. He will now take on the roles of CEO and COO, as the hospital does not plan to hire a new COO, according to the report.

3. Previously, at Legacy Health System in Portland, Ore., he served in various positions including manager of the Devers Eye Institute, Legacy's director of heart and pulmonary services, vice president of clinical operations and administrator of Gresham, Ore.-based Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center.

4. Mr. Parker earned a master's degree in hospital administration from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, based in Minneapolis, and a master's degree in business administration in finance from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, also in Minneapolis.
