Sisters of Charity Health System names Thomas Strauss CEO: 4 things to know

Cleveland-based Sisters of Charity Health System tapped Thomas J. Strauss to serve as its new president and CEO.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Strauss left CEO Advisory Network, where he was the managing member and co-founder, to take on his new roles.

2. Previously, he was CEO of Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health System.

3. He succeeds Terrence Kessler, who is retiring after three years of leading the health system.

4. Sisters of Charity Health System includes two hospitals, two elder care facilities, three grant-making foundations and five outreach organizations in Ohio and South Carolina.
