Ms. Legere’s last day was Jan. 6, 2017. It is not certain when Ms. Chalke’s last day will be. A medical center spokesperson noted that they had both “made their own decision to move on,” according to the report.

Ms. Legere has served as president of the medical center since 2013, prior to which she was CEO of Parkland Medical Center in Derry, N.H. Ms. Chalke has been with CMMC for 32 years, serving in roles of increasing responsibility, such as nurse manager, director of acute care and vice president of nursing.

In August 2016, Jeff Brickman was named to lead Lewiston-based Central Maine Healthcare, the medical center’s parent, as president and CEO. He will take the reigns at CMMC until a replacement for Ms. Legere is found, according to the report.
