Simi Valley Hospital names Jennifer Swenson CEO: 4 things to know

Simi Valley (Calif.) Hospital, part of Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, has named Jennifer Swenson president and CEO, according to a Moorpark Acorn report.

Here are four things to know about Ms. Swenson.

1. Ms. Swenson will begin her new job Aug. 17.

2. Ms. Swenson comes to SVH with more than two decades of finance, operations and business development leadership experience in healthcare.

3. Most recently, she was a corporate vice president of Kettering (Ohio) Health Network, where she implemented strategic initiatives and oversaw business development and the senior division for KHN, according to the report.

4. Prior to joining KHN, Ms. Swenson was president of Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio. During her tenure there, she oversaw a number of accomplishments including transitioning the hospital to a new EMR; implementing a new emergency department transformation of care; recruiting more than 30 physicians through employment and partnership as well as creating a new hospital foundation that raised $2.5 million in the first campaign, according to the report.
