Silver Cross Hospital CEO Paul Pawlak to retire next year: 4 things to know

Silver Cross Hospital in New Lennox, Ill., announced its President and CEO Paul Pawlak will retire in October 2017, according to a Daily Herald report.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Pawlak has led the hospital for 26 years.

2. During his tenure, the hospital opened a new $362 million, 296-bed facility and partnered with a number of academic institutions including the University of Chicago Medicine for oncology services and Chicago’s Northwestern Medicine for neurosciences.

3. He is a member of the Illinois Hospital Association and has served on the board of directors.

4. He holds a master’s degree in hospital and health administration degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati.
