Sheldon M. Retchin, MD. Executive Vice President of Health Sciences at the Ohio State University and CEO of OSU Wexner Medical Center (Columbus). Dr. Retchin, a board-certified internist, stepped into his current role as executive vice president of health sciences at OSU and CEO of the Wexner Medical Center in March 2015. Previously, he served as senior vice president for health sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University and CEO of the VCU Health System in Richmond. Dr. Retchin was recently appointed to the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission by the U.S. comptroller general. A recognized expert in health policy and healthcare delivery, he has authored more than 90 articles, chapters and books on the costs, quality and outcomes of care.
