Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center CEO resigns: 5 takeaways

Crystal River, Fla.-based Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center CEO Austin Brown is departing for a new role at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg (Fla.), effective April 20, according to a Citrus County Chronicle report.

1. Mr. Brown will serve as COO of Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

2. He joined Seven Rivers Regional five years ago, initially serving as CEO.

3. During his tenure, he oversaw the opening of a bone and joint center and creation of the Seven Rivers Medical Group.

4. Linda Stockton, former CEO at Bayfront Health Dade City (Fla.), will assume the interim CEO role at Seven Rivers Regional April 23. CHS recently sold the Dade City hospital to Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System.

5. Seven Rivers Regional and St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Bayfront Health are a part of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.
