Harrisonburg, Va.-based Sentara RMH Medical Center named Douglas J. Moyer president, effective Jan. 3, 2017.
Here are four things to know:
1. Mr. Moyer most recently served as CEO of the CHS Virginia Hospital Network and CHS/Southside Regional Medical Center, both based in Petersburg.
2. An athletic trainer in the sports medicine physical therapy setting, Mr. Moyer was also director of physical therapy/program development for Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore.
3. He holds a master of science degree in health administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
4. He is replacing Jim Krauss, who has retired.
