1. Mr. Barron replaces Mark Turner, who resigned.
2. Hospital officials said Mr. Turner made the decision to step down months ago, and it was “completely voluntary;” however, the hospital has also recently been engaged in a quickly souring relationship with Highland, Calif.-based Beaver Medical Group, according to a previous a Record Gazette report. The physicians allege hospital administration has been “aggressive” towards them.
3. Mr. Barron formerly served as vice president of operations for Southern California at San Francisco-based Dignity Health.
4. He has 28-plus years of healthcare leadership experience and was one of three candidates interviewed for the role at San Gorgonio Memorial.
