Kansas City, Mo.-based Saint Luke’s Health System has named Bobby Olm-Shipman president of Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City, effective Feb. 1.
Mr. Olm-Shipman currently serves as president of Saint Luke’s South and East Region, which includes Saint Luke’s East Hospital, Saint Luke’s South Hospital and Saint Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute, according to a Dec. 19 health system news release. He will succeed Jani Johnson, MSN, RN, who is retiring after nearly 40 years with the organization.
In his new role, Mr. Olm-Shipman will also oversee Saint Luke’s Hospital Crittenton Children’s Center, Saint Luke’s Bishop Spencer Place, and the system’s research and medical education programs.
Since joining Saint Luke’s in 2003, Mr. Olm-Shipman has held various leadership positions, including CEO of Saint Luke’s South Hospital and vice president of strategic planning. He oversaw the $57 million expansion of Saint Luke’s East Hospital and led the launch of the Saint Luke’s Community Hospital model in 2018.
Saint Luke’s operates 10 hospitals and campuses, more than 100 primary and specialty care offices, and provides 65 specialty services across 67 counties in Missouri and Kansas.
