Saint Francis Care promotes CFO, names CEO of Mt. Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital

Hartford, Conn.-based Saint Francis Care has promoted David Bittner, MBA, CPA, to CFO, and Robert J. Krug, MD, to CEO of Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, part of the Saint Francis Care system, also in Hartford, according to Hartford Business.

Previously, Mr. Bittner served as senior vice president of finance for Saint Francis Care. The CFO position was previously eliminated following the departure of former CFO John Giamalis in October, according to the report.

Dr. Krug is currently chairman and director of the department of rehabilitation medicine and medical director of Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, director of the neuromuscular-skeletal program, and medical director for rehabilitation and physical medicine for the Joyce D. and Andrew J. Mandell Center for Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Care and Neuroscience Research. He will retain these roles while adding CEO responsibilities at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.
