SageWest Health Care appoints new CEO: 6 things to know

Riverhead, Wyo.-based SageWest Health Care has selected John Ferrelli to serve as CEO, effective April 22.

Six things to know:

1. Mr. Ferrelli most recently served as vice president of operations at Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based Vibra Healthcare, a provider of long-term acute care and rehabilitation.

2. He was previously CEO at Seton Medical Center and Seton Coastside in Redwood City, Calif., and chief administrative officer of the University of Southern California Norris Cancer Hospital in Los Angeles.

3. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

4. Mr. Ferrelli holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Evanston, Ill.

5. He succeeds Alan Daugherty, who is retiring after leading the hospital for nearly two years.

6. SageWest Health Care, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health, is a two-hospital system.
