Rush Health Systems names Larkin Kennedy CEO

Larkin Kennedy has been named president and CEO of Meridian, Miss.-based Rush Health Systems, effective Jan. 29, according to the Meridian Star.

Mr. Kennedy joined Rush in 2010 and has served as vice president of physician and clinic services, administrator of the Rush Foundation Hospital and president of the system’s hospital division. He previously worked at Memphis, Tenn.-based Baptist Memorial Health Care as an administrator and CEO.

“The board of directors has a great deal of confidence and faith in Larkin Kennedy,” said Rick Barry, general counsel of the Rush Health System Board of Directors, according to the Meridian Star. “He has demonstrated excellent leadership abilities during the time he has been at Rush. He is a very deliberate and determined young man who is committed to continuing the strong traditions of caring and excellence in medicine at Rush.”
