Here are five things to know about Mr. George.
1. He most recently was CEO of Palestine (Texas) Regional Medical Center, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health.
2. During his tenure at PRMC, Mr. George drove significant hospital growth, completed a $9.1 million hospital expansion and renovation project, and significantly increased physician and employee satisfaction, hospital officials said.
3. He was also previously CEO of Lakeside Hospital in Bastrop, Texas; Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, Ga; and Walton Regional Medical Center in Monroe, Ga.
4. In his new role, Mr. George replaces Jerry Dooley, who has served as interim CEO of the hospital since April.
5. Mr. George earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Houston – Clear Lake (Texas).
