Raleigh General Hospital names Matt Roberts CEO: 5 notes

Beckley, W.Va.-based Raleigh General Hospital selected Matt Roberts as its new CEO, effective Nov. 14, 2016.

Here are five notes:

1. Most recently, Mr. Roberts served as CEO Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, La.

2. He has also previously served as CEO of numerous facilities, including The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur and Harton Regional Medical Center in Tullahoma, Tenn.

3. He served as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy for five years.

4. He has served on the Louisiana Hospital Association’s Legislative, Regulatory and Policy Council.

5. Mr. Roberts replaces Harold Siglar, who has served as interim CEO since May 2016.
