Virginia Mason Franciscan exec heads to Providence

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett (Wash.) has named Dave Lawson chief administrative officer.

Mr. Lawson will lead day-to-day operations across the hospital’s Colby and Pacific campuses, including quality, safety, caregiver and provider engagement, financial performance, patient experience and surgical services, according to a March 10 Providence news release shared with Becker’s.

The hospital is Snohomish County’s only level 2 trauma center and operates 576 licensed beds across its two campuses.

Mr. Lawson most recently served as vice president of operations for Virginia Mason Medical Center and Clinics at Tacoma, Wash.-based Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. He previously held COO roles at Mercy Hospital South and Clinics in St. Louis and Temecula (Calif.) Valley Hospital.

Providence Swedish operates eight hospitals and 244 clinics in Western Washington.
