In this role, Dr. Sprouse will oversee nursing operations for the Providence Swedish North Puget Sound division, which includes Everett, Wash.-based Providence Regional Medical Center, Swedish Edmonds and the Swedish Mill Greek emergency department. Nearly 3,000 nurses work across the three facilities.
Dr. Sprouse has spent more than 20 years in healthcare leadership positions. She joins Renton, Wash.-based Providence from Seattle-based Virginia Mason Medical Center, where she also served as CNO. During her tenure at Virginia Mason, hospital-acquired infection rates and length of stay decreased, while nurse recruitment and retention improved.
