Providence Healthcare Network appoints new CNO: 5 notes

Waco, Texas-based Providence Healthcare Network tapped Cyndy B. Dunlap, DNP, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer, effective Aug. 20.

Here are five notes:

1. Dr. Dunlap most recently served as vice president of clinical initiative and quality for Texas Hospital Association Foundation in Austin.

2. He previously served as both chief nursing executive and chief nursing officer at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas.

3. She is a past board member and past president of Texas Organization of Nurse Executives.

4. Dr. Dunlap also served as a member of the Nursing Practice Advisory Committee for the Texas Board of Nursing.

5. She earned her doctor of nursing practice degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
