Daniel Carey, MD, has concluded his more than three-year tenure as president of Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich.
Dr. Carey said he looks forward to a more flexible career focused on executive coaching, teaching and board service, as well as spending more time with family, he wrote in a June 2 LinkedIn post.
He has served as president since March 2023. Before joining Corewell Health, which is dual headquartered in Grand Rapids and Southfield, Mich., he was senior vice president and chief medical officer of the physician enterprise at Renton, Wash.-based Providence, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Carey spent 20 years with Lynchburg, Va.-based Centra Health and later served as Virginia’s secretary of health and human resources.
