Presence St. Joseph Medical Center CEO Beth Hughes resigns

Beth Hughes, president and CEO of Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Ill., has resigned, according to Bugle Newspapers.

Ms. Hughes, who also serves as regional president and CEO of the south suburban region of Presence Health, has led Presence St. Joseph Medical Center since August 2011. She joined the medical center in 2007 as COO.

Previously, Ms. Hughes served as executive vice president of ambulatory services and managed care at Optima Healthcare in Manchester, N.H. She also held leadership roles at Loyola University Health System in Maywood, Ill.; West Suburban Health Providers at West Suburban Hospital Medical Center in Oak Park, Ill.; and Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y.
