Here are four things to know about Mr. Englehart.
1. Mr. Englehart will begin the job Oct. 1.
2. He replaces Sandra Bruce who is retiring after seven years leading Presence Health and one of its predecessors, Resurrection Health Care.
3. Mr. Englehart has nearly 20 years of healthcare experience, including more than a decade at Downers Grove, Ill.-based nonprofit Advocate Health Care. Most recently, he was president of Advocate Physician Partners, leading the health system’s clinically integrated network of 4,900 physicians and 13 hospitals.
4. In a news release, Sister Mary Elizabeth Imler, chairwoman of the Corporate Member, which represents Presence Health’s five sponsoring religious congregations, said Mr. Englehart’s “strong background in Catholic and faith-based healthcare, and commitment to remaining true to the mission and values of the organization” were critical factors in his selection.
