Platte County Memorial CEO to serve as Wyoming Community Hospital’s interim chief

Shelby Nelson, CEO of Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland, Wyo., part of Phoenix-based Banner Health, will serve as interim CEO for Community Hospital in Torrington, Wyo., beginning in February.

Ms. Nelson will replace Vince DiFranco, who resigned from Community Hospital December to become CEO of Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, N.M. While serving as interim CEO, she will retain her role at Platte County Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Nelson has more than 20 years of healthcare experience. Before joining the Wheatland hospital in 2011, she held leadership roles at Fairbanks (Alaska) Memorial Hospital/Denali Center since 1992.
